4th Annual Kiwanis MacArthur Luncheon Lecture

MacArthur Memorial Museum

Presentation: 12:15 pm – 1:00 pm

Christopher Kolakowski will share his reaction to the new MacArthur exhibit, the legacy of the General, and talk about his new book, Defense of Bataan - December 1941 to May 1942.  The MacArthur 40-piece photo poster collection will also be on display.

Prior to the Luncheon, visit the War Memorial Center’s Freedom Gallery to see the General of the Army Douglas MacArthur exhibit which will be unveiled at 10:30 AM that morning.  The exhibit will contain 13 plaques and a 40-inch plasma screen portraying various segments of the life of the General including WWI, WWII, occupation of Japan, and the Korean War.  The exhibit also depicts MacArthur's positive impact on Australia, the Philippines, Japan, and Korea.  Each plaque has an audio/visual portion providing additional insights.

The Freedom Gallery is located on Level 1, on the North side of the War Memorial Center.
